Doula support is centered around your unique personal story, your individual birth journey, and the thoughtful choices you will make throughout the entire birth process. It is designed to honor and respect your preferences and experiences. We prioritize you and your partner, making sure your needs come first. We teach and work closely with you, then step back as much or as little as you need so you can move through your birth experience with confidence. We offer support and information, not judgment.
As doulas, we want to give clients full educational, mental, and emotional support throughout their journey. Our goal is for you to finish your birth feeling strong, proud, and confident in your own power and wisdom.
We will start with several prenatal visits/calls to create and discuss your birth plan, educate you, and prepare you for your upcoming birth. When the big day comes, we will be there with hands on support through about 2 hours postpartum. After the birth, we will have one postpartum visit/call to talk through your birth experience, help connect you with local resources, provide early lactation support, answer newborn care questions, etc. Up to four weeks postpartum we will provide phone/text support for any questions, concerns, and/or local resources you may need.
